Happy new year, my faithful reader. 

You have no doubt noticed my lack of attention to Tipitee's Cafe in recent months, though I thank you for kindly checking in from time to time.  I started this blog in August 2007 - nearly four and a half years ago - as an outlet for what I was learning, what I found humorous and what stirred my passions.  It has been every bit of that as well as a place for testing my skills as a writer and as a teacher.  Through many changes in the past months, I've found that my vocation challenges my writing and teaching ability and has become a great outlet for such.  There is, however, still within me a writer who wants to write... something important, something that will not let me go and writhes to be born.  The book... I've talked about it for years, you most likely roll your eyes when I even mention it.  But it's time.  It's past time.  So for the present time, I am abandoning this little corner of the world to give myself to a lifelong pursuit of writing. 

You're welcome to look through old posts when you need inspiration or a good laugh or a new look at an old Text.  Tipitee's Cafe will be here, just not offering any new "dishes" for a while.  Sometimes you have to give up something that's good to find something better.  So I say a fond farewell to the Cafe, and a trepidatious hello to focus, purpose and the "me" I was created to be. 

Thanks for dining at the Cafe'!  (I really mean that.)
